Very good specs, good search, horrible ergonomics

This notebook has extremely great specs (apart from the screen) - rapidly CPU, devoted video clip, outstanding battery life time (really 7-eight several hours on minimal load, two-3 hrs 3D gaming), DVD drive, USB three., large multitouch touchpad.Outfit is very respectable - slender, light-weight (for the 15" laptop), nice keyboard. But the lid tends to keep finger smears.The touchpad is foamy and mine was a little bit crumpled (sure, appears bizarre) - seems untidy.Ergonomics... the worst I have at any time witnessed. Absolutely almost everything is improper: - ALL connectors are at rear. Want to plug a USB stick? Rotate the laptop. Hook up a 2nd monitor? Half close the lid and bend over it to see one thing. Plug in the charger? Right... you know what to do - power-on and demand indicators situated on the front so you can see them only if you carry the laptop - concealed energy-on button which you are unable to see when you open the lid - pair of times I managed to press the power button simply when relocating the laptop a bit absent from myself (as the button is on the front) - virtually not possible to open the DVD tray without having looking at it first to discover the eject button as it truly is not lifted at all and really challenging to locate by touching

cant shut down

experienced this notebook for a thirty day period and for the 2nd time I am unable to shut it down ( apart from for manually keeping the power button in, then on re-begin it shuts down straight away. I had to do a manufacturing facility re set and lost almost everything on the hard generate in the approach. calls to Acer technical help expense 10 P For each Moment ( an outrage) right after the second dilemma questioned for a replacement. As normal Amazon ended up quite beneficial in working with my problem but Acer consumer support leaves considerably to be desired

Very good all rounder

1st machine arrived useless - would not charge or electricity up. This was returned to Amazon and changed but I was remaining with the return price 48.The notebook is nicely made and the display realistic for the value. It is moderately quick with good battery daily life. The pre-mounted home windows eight is awful. This is the worst running system I have at any time encountered and I will in no way acquire yet another Acquire 8 Personal computer. Hi Mac from now on.In summary - excellent funds laptop computer but terrible OS.
